Indonesia masih tetap berkesempatan mainkan all-Indonesian final karena tidak hanya Anthony Ginting, ada pula Jonatan Christie yang maju ke semi final.
Pada partai semi final yang diselenggarakan Senin (27/8/2018), Ginting akan melawan pebulutangkis dari Chinese Taipei, Chou Tienchen.
