Sandiaga mengatakan, yang mendeklarasikan dukungan tersebut bernama Rudi Uno berasal dari Gorontalo Utara. “Terus terang saya tak kenal keluarga Rudi Uno. Keluarga Rudi Uno ini di Gorontalo Utara, ternyata setelah kita lihat, ya kami apresiasi.
Ini adalah esensi demokrasi. Tapi beliau caleg dari Partai Hanura, nomor urut 02. Ya jelas mendukung Presiden Jokowi,” ujar Sandiaga dalam acara Silaturahim dan Konsolidasi Nasional Aliansi Pencerah Indonesia di Hotel Sahid, Jakarta, Minggu (3/3/2019).
“Wong partainya mendukung sana. Tapi apa yang terjadi, karena kami sangat ikhlas menerima ini. Justru Alhamdulilah semakin solid dukungan keluarga besar saya kepada niat saya untuk maju,” lanjut dia.
Ia tak mempermasalahkan adanya perbedaan dukungan keluarga Uno dengan keluarga besarnya yang juga bermarga Uno.
Ia pun menginginkan dukungan tersebut tak memecah belah keluarga Uno secara khusus dan masayarakat Indonesia secara umum. “Boleh kita beda (pilihan), Tapi saya akan nyatakan di sini di Aliansi Pencerah Indonesia, bahwa kita tidak boleh memecah belah,” lanjut mantan Komandan Jenderal Kopassus itu.
Sebelumnya Capres pertahana Joko Widodo heran mengapa keluarga besar Sandiaga Uno mendukung dirinya dalam Pilpres 2019 ketimbang cawapres Sandiaga Uno. “Sebenarnya itu logikanya, harusnya saudara-saudara Pak Sandiaga Uno itu dukungannya ke Pak Sandiaga. Tapi kalau ke saya, ya terima kasih,” ujar Jokowi di sela-sela aktivitasnya di Gorontalo, Jumat (1/3/2019).
Kepada wartawan, Jokowi sampai mengulang keheranannya berkali-kali. Namun, pernyataan selanjutnya diiringi dengan kelakar. “Ya yang benar kan mestinya saudara-saudara Pak Sandiaga itu dukungnya ke Pak Sandiaga, ya itu yang benar. Tapi kelihatannya ini (dukungan ke Jokowi-Ma’ruf) lebih benar,” katanya diiringi tawa.
Dilansir Tribunnews.com, keluarga besar bermarga Uno di Gorontalo mendeklarasikan diri mendukung Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin pada Pemilihan Presiden 2019. “Kami keluarga Uno telah bersepakat untuk mendukung sekali lagi Pak Jokowi sebagai Presiden,” ujar Rudi di depan Tim Kampanye Daerah (TKD) Jokowi-Ma’ruf Gorontalo, Kamis (28/2/2019).
